EXHIBITION DESIGN

The exhibition installation for SIGHTLINES was created by architectural firm AD—WO, founded by Emanuel Admassu and Jen Wood. Using the architectural device of a long wall that runs down the center of the gallery space, the historical metalworks in this show are housed together, visible from all angles, as if mounted on a dais. Populating the space around them are works by thirteen contemporary artists, who are featured in this website. The wall enables visitors to find their own vantage points from which to view and make connections between historical and contemporary artworks, unrestricted by conventional curatorial categories of time period, geography, and material.
